With today’s transportation costs on the rise,
it’s no wonder working families face difficulty with obtaining affordable,
reliable transportation in order to get to and from work. Quite often this
can make the difference between keeping and losing a job.
How can Wheels For Work help?
Our program can provide a “jump start” in helping to:
- Obtain a small 0%
interest loan for a more replacement vehicle;
- Provide repair work to a family’s existing
vehicle;
- Assist with insurance
payments;
- Assist with other alternative forms of
transportation to get to and from work.
The road doesn’t end there. We can also help the family identify
their strengths and goals, and work with the family in their efforts to
become more self-reliant with their transportation needs and with reaching
their other goals in life. |
 |
In 2009, 21 vehicle loans
and 58 vehicle repairs were provided through the Wheels For Work program. |

What are the eligibility requirements? |

|
Our Wheels For Work program is funded by
different funding sources that each have their own eligibility requirements.
Please select an option below, which will take you to the eligibility
requirements for the specific help you are seeking: |
|
|
|
Option 1: I need to apply
for a loan as my vehicle needs replacing, however I can't get an affordable
loan from a bank. |
|
|
|
Option 2: I need repairs to my existing
vehicle that I can't afford, or need help with paying vehicle insurance
|
|
|
|
Option 3: I don't need a
vehicle, and use other forms of transportation to get to and from work.
However, I am having trouble affording these expenses. |
